Arch - learn how to calculate and analyse a PCA model
Task
Create one or more models that can be used to decide if some arrowheads come from a particular stone quarry.
Data
ARCH2.XLS contains archaeological data where ten different elements have been determined in samples from four different quarries and arrowheads found in three different locations in California. The objective is to find out if the elemental composition can be used to classify the samples from the four quarries and thereby make it possible to determine the origin for the arrowheads; they had been found in different locations in California. If the arrowheads could be matched with the quarries conclusions about people movement could be made (the arrowhead must have been transported from the quarry to the location where it was found). You will find the data in ARCH2.XLS.
